Watch the Audi activesphere transform into a pick-up truck
Also witness the steering wheel unfurl itself from the floor..

Last week Audi pulled the covers off its new activesphere concept, a luxury coupe-crossover that also dabbles in being a pick-up truck, an off-roading chariot and an autonomous chaperone. A Jack of many trades, then.
Now it’s quite something to render drawings of a machine that ticks all those boxes, but something else entirely to actually see those things in action.
And lo we therefore draw your attention to the video above, which gives you a whistle-stop tour of all the activesphere’s headline-grabbing features. Made possible by a well-placed rotisserie plinth, of course.
The key features include the teeth-like nodes in the floor which signify that off-road mode and the car’s raised ride height have been engaged, plus that motorised bulkhead which isolates the pick-up bed from the cabin.
There’s a ski rack on the roof too, but TG forgot to take skis along on the day to test this out. Soz.
Goes without saying that it’s unlikely any of this will make production any time soon. If at all. But if you had to pick one, which feature are you having?
